My Dad snapped @ my little bro for not playing the piano well..well at all, and I have to say that that is partially true because my brother does not enjoy practicing the piano..therefore there has been zero improvement(in my opinion) though one has to remember the fact that everyone learns at different paces, so I guess that I am a quick learner..or just adjusts to different events in a different way...i don't know. A few moments ago I was working on cropping photos to put in this frame that can hold three medium photos (all smaller than 4 by 6) and two petite ones. At first I inserted my postcards from Europe..though I asked Mom if they were appealing..and they weren't...even I thought the same
Anyways today I first called our techinician for my grandparents quest cards and she was very helpful with clarifying my confusion concerning food stamps/ and also their medicaid cards-THEY ARE COMING DO NOT PANIC GRANDPARENTS
later I was about to vacum when I realised that my grandpa is snoozin, I asked Dad if i should vacum even though grandpa was snoozing..and Dad said "no not right now" (YES!!!!) so.... I helped my Dad clean out our putrid fishtank (thank god) while at the same moment..watching anger management and munching on food (I made Peter a steak sandwich since we had a BBQ @ the Boulder resevoir yesterday with our friends Jia Mei (aka Justin's family) and it's a shame that I couldn't go swimming..and I thought that my monthly issue hadn't ceased..but it did and yeah I am a bit dissapointed at myself since I could have gone swimming in that cold lake!!!!!!
okay oh well..at least I went rowing with my Dad on our raft. the second time we went rowing Austin wanted to come and so we took him along. However we didn't know that the wind would start to kick up a bit causing a few huge waves....most of the waves were caused by jet skis and water skiers, but Austin happened to enjoy the waves-he would start to laugh and exclaim "hehehehe" or "oooo big wave" anytime when I pointed out that wave(s) was coming in our direction. Another thing was that he didn't wear a life jacket because they were all too big for a little 5 year old and ..he didn't look very comfortable as well since the opening of the jacket was not where his little head was
..though I promised that I would hold on to him so he wouldn't be scared...cute little guy)
Alright so I ate a yummy steak sandwich that I helped Peter make since...oh yeah ..Peter was @ Justin's for a sleepover...ahh it was SO PEACEFUL in the house last night..with the exception of my lovely grandparents...uhhh not lovely at all! Well Dad went to pick up Peter before we cleaned out the fish tank..though when Peter came back he started to complain of hunger since apparently he only had two pieces of toast...you call that a breakfeast? So I insisted that I would cook him something (cuz I kickass in cooking eggs), but Peter didn't want eggs..so I made a few suggestions for breakfeast until he liked the idea of a sandwich..so using the bread that Mom made, which is a Lanzhou style flatbread (soo good) + a thin piece of steak (not sliced/and not thick) + suggestion of shredded cheese (from peter) + one minute in the microwave + ketchup+ spread of mayo= a tasty sandwich..until the bread hardens ...what 15 minutes later? yeah around there (Peter is a SLOW EATER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! YEA THAT'S RIGHT)
Mom phoned home around 12 and I expalined that the situation concerning those quest cards were clarified,though I handed the phone to dad who explained more,which made mom happy
When mom called around 9 in the morning..i was still asleep..though i woke up and was in the bathroom when SUDDENLY the phone rang...still cranky from waking up I was like
-who's this...(it was mom)
-I"M IN THE BATHROOM
-okay
-okay
-FINE
-alright i'll go do it..i'll CALL
(mom: you should call their office right now)
-ALRIGHT
(mom: okay calm down, and call the office..late-
i think i hung up around then
when mom came home, i got frustrated @ her since she couldn't spell Toni (yeah i know langauge barrier blah blah..it's just a little frustrating at times!!)
me: TONI T-O-N-I NOT T-O-L-I that's TOLI!!!!!!!! ARHGHHHH
dad: what's wrong with you? (ended up in talk about frustration..and why the fuck am I frustrated don't worry the discussion only last like 5 minutes and it wasn't hostile
Last night when we out for our evening stroll around our neighborhood, I talked a lot with Dad about well first off.....
1) how much Grandma and Grandpa are total pyschos ..plus the fact that Grandma is an annoying bitch +trying to take advantage of us
2) The social security office in lousiville and how the fact that the lady at the front desk seemed very hostile @ me (dad wasn't there) while I was trying to clarify the situation with my grandparents quest cards [and the cards are a pain in the ass to understand]
3) The way it seems that my granparents (mom's side) are trying to take advantage of the U.S government by demanding more $$ on their pensions even though that each of them get a 150$/month for not doing anything
4) because they demand so much fucking $$ from the American government it makes Dad cross because they don't deserve more since "what have they done that makes them deserve more? they just arrived here and what have they done for this country? Nothing"
me: what about Grandma? (my dad's mother..who passed away in '95)
dad: that's different cuz Nai Nai worked hard here, paid for her own social security,...therefore did something for this country unlike your lao lao and ye ye who have done nothing but eat, sleep, drink at our house (grandparents on my mom's side)
5) the fact that they seem to not enjoy themselves here, Even Mandy and Lisa told me that they look sad, and bitter (that's what both said concerning my Grandma..and I agree with that as well) you know what if they don't like it here then they should just piss off
6) college..and what I should major in. I have decided to be a translator..i even said on the walk that "I don't want to be a doctor" and my dad agrees with me because I am keen with languages
So my Dad said (as a suggestion) that I should double major in French and linguistics ...I mentioned Chinese...though he said that it is not neccessary...though I can take a class to improve my Classical chinese-to me that is important to NOT FORGET ...besides the characters are way more...elegant than simplified. In my opinion simplified is great for journalism...and ONLINE CHATTING WITH YOUR COUSINS!!!
7) College-i mentioned photography as a major and my dad knows that i enjoy photography, but he suggested that it should not be a major beacuse that field is very competitive. I mentioned that I could work for national geographic however my passion for photography concerns this quote "in music there is only ONE YO YO MA...there IS ONLY ONE ARTUR RUBENSTIEN..there is ONLY ONE ANSEL ADAMS"
so if I became a photographer for a living...my chances of becoming a photographer later on does not sound beautiful since ..how the fuck can I live off photos? sure I can sell some of my work, though like Vermeer I won't be able to earn much. Then I asked if photography could just be...well a hobby and my Dad said that that is a nice idea ..i mean just have fun with it and possibly just sell some original pieces for fun

8) Translator-I can help people..i could work @ IBM...ANYTHING!!! i could work in France, China, Germany with this field because companies need help with confronting the lanaguage barrier/culture without getting hurt
hahah get it? okay i'll shut up. Dad said that I could be an ambassador..though I commented, "isn't that a dangerous job? i mean those embassies get bombed everywhere"
