Dear Mr. Stott,
This year would be my second year of participating in the creation of the yearbook. In the first year I was a staff reporter and then the following year I became a photo editor. For next year I am hoping that I can transition into the position of editor in chief. I believe that my experience as a photo editor this year will bring a good foundation for the 2006-2007 Fairview High School yearbook.
This year, as photo editor, I learned many valuable assets. The main aspect was stress management. I got to understand how to manage my stress level appropriately and I also learned how to control this emotion without any volatile behavior. Another value that I learned was my level in confidence. I realized that with a low confidence, I would continue to doubt my abilities and would be unable to help anyone in yearbook. So I discovered how to improve my level of confidence and by maintaining a healthy amount of confidence has also led to other improvements. This includes the amount of help that I was able to provide for the lance staff. I learned how to provide answers to people who were frustrated with Adobe In design, reassured members of staff when deadline loomed by providing options that they could do, and as much as my abilities led I was able to help a majority of the staff with their photography.
