Culture shock all around (Not to sound like a negative Nancy)

Thanksgiving has arrived , for that I am thankful.
Though I sorta have to laugh at local Chinese students who have rallied around the student center for people to sign "Turkey day cards" and shouting "Happy Thanksgiving" like it was "merry Christmas". I think we are missing the concept here folks. Adorable effort, but taking a holiday and blowing it out of proportion is what the Americans do best. By the way we celebrate it as a family. It's a time to get together and enjoy the comforts of being with your friends. I'm pretty sure there is a holiday celebrated in China about once a year...oh wait that's called Chinese new year.

Shouting "Thank You" in 10 different languages to appeal to all the international students makes them think your even more crazy. Nobody in Turkey celebrates Thanksgiving or in Russia for that manner. Keep it down to one language. That language would be English because no one else celebrates Thanksgiving other than the United States. Get it right :-D

Sorry for sounding...so bitter and resentful.
