November 26th, 2004

Dear Rainy,
Well today is Black Friday, which is the day after thanksgiving when most of the department stores have ridiculous clearance on their merchandise. Last year I discovered this American shopping holiday on NBC’s “today” when I think Al Roker was explaining that a Gap store in New Jersey already had hundreds of people basically grabbing clothing that had been slashed down 80%. Yes that’s awesome and yet crazy.
So this year mom, Song Ying and me went around town buying stuff.
It all started this morning around 6 am when mom decided to wake me up and yes I was very comfortable in my bed so I did not want to get up from my sleep ‘sighs’. Anyways I got up it was still pitch black outside and cleaned myself up then got dressed. Mom brought an arrowhead along with some rice cakes as we headed up to the car; I snagged a dasani as I headed into the car. It was really cold this morning, I switched the radio to 93.3, 93.3 is doing a throwback weekend, which they’ve been doing during the different holidays that I have in the year. Before heading into Kohls we got gas at conoco for $1.79. I consider that cheap since everywhere else has gas for a fucking $1.86 god the world has already gone insane. As mom began to fuel her tank this garbled voice comes out of the speaker and yes I got startled. Both of us thought that something was wrong so I went inside and asked “uhh is there a problem?” (when I am a stranger to someone I use a British accent..well I try to and I don’t know why I use an accent. maybe because its fun?)
Then the conoco employee replied, “I said Hi Welcome to Conoco.” Befuddled I said “oh” and pushed the door and got back into the car before I froze to death. After mom fueled her tank she did the paying routine and I saw the crazy biker dude again. Apparently he takes recyclable items from trash cans anyplace I think he can bike to.
Mom said he takes people’s trash and I replied with a yawn and the ‘that’s nice’. When we drove into the parking lot for Kohls you could say that we arrived too late because of all the cars that took over most the parking space. Insanity.
We managed to find a cart and headed around the place. On our way to Kohls I was thinking I hope Ashley doesn’t have this shift..that would suck.
Mom first went over to the junior department, but heheh I can’t wear junior clothes anymore yes and it pisses me off that I used to be fairly skinny before puberty came in full swing in 7th grade and my hips become ridiculously huge. I went off in a different direction than mom for about 5 minutes, where did I go? I headed over to the shoes and as you get to the shoes you enter the men’s department. How much I love guy’s clothing? Let’s just say a lot. ‘sighs’ guys get all the luck seriously their clothing are darker colors and yes I like dark colored clothing rather then light colors. I’m sick of baby blue and pink. And hoody’s for guys ….girls hoody’s seem to want to reveal more and be smaller, tighter, hideous colors and doesn’t seem to look warm and cozy. In guy’s hoody’s the hoodys have a reasonable size and enough cotton to be warm..oh and awesome colors. When I thought Brent was a crossdresser because of his shirts..sorry I was wrong I saw shirts for guys that looked like his..yes of course I feel guilty-Brent Somermeyer is not a crossdresser, but he is an asshole. Hehehem moving on. After fitting on a skirt, and jeans and then abandoning them in the fitting room we went around browsing for my clothes, but to no success I couldn’t find my pair of perfect jeans-the ideal jeans. I hate my legs. Moving on, I then looked @ pj’s, which turned out well because due to low prices I bought the simpsons pants and mom wanted me to buy this fleece pj pants, which came along with a shirt. At first she wanted me to put back the simpsons bart pants and take the looney toons tweedy bird shirt and pant pj set. In the end I took both muhahahaha. As we traveled into the shoe section we looked around for shoes, I saw my pair of skechers, I seem to always damage the “leather” because the model shoe just looks smooth and hard. Okay so my skechers were hard and smooth, but after sprinting in them for the bus and people stepping on my feet gets a bit difficult to maintain lovely shoes. Mom wanted to buy some sandals and she insisted that I should buys a pair as well, though I don’t really enjoy revealing my feet…I consider them hideous as in my nails. Yes and btw last night I cut way to far for the pinkie toe because as of now I am in extreme pain. I shouldn’t cut too short next time. I remind myself every time just what is wrong with me?
I saw Aunt’s croft and barrel shoes on sale for $19.99 instead of the regular…35$?. Mom said I should buy it and so I tried fitting on the shoes, but size 7 ½ is kind of small for me. In black color I guess the saleslady couldn’t find black “029’s” so I tried brown, which was alright. Then mom needed to use the restroom badly apparently so we headed towards there where I waited while she used the facility. Anyways as I was waiting for mom I heard the nokia tune, one girl asked her dad “hey is that your phone?” and he replied no. So I kept waiting, then I kept hearing the nokia tune buzzing, and it was rather close then I realize ..that’s mom’s cell phone-shit. I rummaged around her coat found her phone and picked it up it was Song Ying. She asked me where we were and I told her were @ Kohls. Yes were insane-it was 8 am and then she said she was headed over to Kohls. OH another thing while I was waiting for mom who seemed to take forever I saw Mrs. Stohlberg or Ms. Stohlberg and she saw me. Later she was in the uhh luggage department and I went over, “and I thought you were in Vegas,” that’s because last week she told me on the bus that she was going to go to Las Vegas to visit her girlfriend (w/e that means jkjk jkjk) She couldn’t believe I remembered that, well that’s just my specialty. Hehehhee. Well according to Stohlberg due to work hassles with her gf she decided not to bother to head over to Vegas and just do shopping for the Friedmans because she’s going to Honduras this Xmas. She was looking around the suitcases because the Friedmans need them because of all the books and other misc items that they couldn’t bring with them. They had to ship $300 worth of books to Honduras…yes that sucks. I told her about the T.A’s situation @ BIA.
The next thing I knew is that where the hell did my mom go? I checked the bathroom, but she wasn’t there so hmmmm. I began to be in my thinking mode..where could she be. I started wandering around wondering where she could be when the mobile rang once more. It was Song Ying and she was looking for me, I told her I was in the women’s department, she saw the back of my head apparently and then I saw her. From there we browsed around from toys to clothes to shoes until we headed to checkout. The line was just…long, extended, ridiculously long-insane. As we headed to checkout I saw the Xmas cups on sale and it made me happy reminding me that I got one last year only it was snowmen, with a red background and several snowflakes. I thought it was considered my cup, but after leaving it in the dishwasher it was transferred into the cupboard. Later it got a little chipped, but it’s alright. Song Ying saw me eyeing on the Xmas cups and asked me if I wanted one, I said no it’s fine I have one even though it got chipped a little. However she insisted I should get one because she was buying it for me, the guilt started to build on me, I tried to tell her I was okay I had enough cups, but I gave in and took the cup that I wanted last year. It was blue with just snowflakes decorating the entire cup.
After checking out we ate some breakfast at McDonalds, instead of the usual sausage egg muffin meal we all ate the big breakfast meal..the $2.69 meal. Mom was about to buy, but then Song Ying insisted on paying so she did. She wanted me to eat half of her hash brown-yes temptation rising however I resisted and said no I’m okay geez eat yours lol.” Since Peter was with us
