Remember to keep repeating this to yourself "This is China" aka T.I.C. Rules exist, but not applied. Maybe it should be T.I.B "This is Beijing" because Beijing is running on a different dimension or clock. Of course things will piss me off, people will piss me off. Get used to it. I'm once again in a different part of the world where things collide. cultures and customs are in a frenzy of confusion. Should we go with the western way? or apply our old customs into this new globalized world?
....even more confusion yes?
The shocks and horror's of the capital~
Rules of the Chinese road: (Wait there is none..)
1) Look 360 degrees before you even attempt crossing the street. Initially you will be scared for your life, but after a few near collisions with bikes, scooters, cars, buses, oh and food vendors you'll be just fine
# of buses trying to hut me down? 5 so far
Bikes: few dozen
Taxi's: 7
2) Drivers have a death wish, pedestrians can too. Maybe it's like the "whack a mole" arcade game.
Once again china is crazy. An explosion where they're absorbing all the unfortunate aspects of western culture. Most traumatizing event decided to flash me in the face.
The image has burned into my skull. Walking back to my dorm after my 8 am and a delicious breakfast (I might add), all is going well until when from my left eye I saw a parked car. Didn't expect anyone to be sitting there and JERKING OFF IN BROAD DAYLIGHT!! Full Monty. Oh was it exposed. PLUS he gave me a nasty smile as if to say "Hey you like it, you KNOW you do."
After that what was my reaction? Oh VERBAL DISGUST. Fits of traumatized screaming. Sorry if I scared that part of campus at 10 am.
