Scavenger Hunt in Beijing

Preparations have gone underway for a scavenger hunt with the group in Beijing. Stay tuned for more updates

One of the Notre Dame kids came to us with a proposition late Monday evening. They proposed to have a scavenger hunt around Beijing. The majority of us were up for this adventure around the city.


The Notre Dame boys came around and handed out the sign up sheet. Some had to be pressured to get it on the fun. Some people were skeptical. Some people didn't want to participate what they assumed as dangerous or just plain stupid. What's great about the scavenger hunt was all of these silly tasks were optional. They're only point based, therefore if you choose to decide not to take a picture with a random group of people or not take a picture with a guard on duty or even more risky; eat stinky tofu then it's all up to you. There is not the least bit of peer pressure on your team. If you want to win, and you want to be a little daring then try the stinky tofu. It's worth the 200 points. Smoking a hookah and blowing an O ring or hop into an illegal taxi? Well again it's all up to the individual.

Teams were decided by random, but they chose team captains first. Captains were chosen based on language ability and knowledge of the city. Veterans were a key choice for qualifying and people who were fluent. Brownie points!
