| Everyone gets anxious in new situations, so that's not an issue. In fact, people who feel no shyness or insecurity can turn into weird exhibitionists like Britney or Kevin-chaotic! But when being bashful stops you from trying new things, prevents you from having the confidence to believe the compliments people give you, or makes you feel so badly that you're almost in tears, then you're letting your shyness have way too much power. No one is saying you need to suddenly become an open book, but remember, people are way less critical of you than you are of yourself, and everyone has moments of insecurity. Try to push past it and take some risks. You'll realize the only thing you have to fear is fear itself. | ||
